Our Finances

As a church we are supported 100% by donations and giving.

How our finances work

As Christians we believe that giving money is one of the ways that we worship God and serve the church and the community. We know that this is easier for some people than others. Using Gift Aid where possible is a great help.

Saint Peter’s depends on the giving of the congregation along with hall rental to pay for everything from heating to coffee! Since 2023 we are also supported by the Edinburgh Diocese of the Scottish Episcopal Church as part of the ‘Our Future’ initiative. The longer term goal is that we will become self sufficient as we grow.

Each year we provide an annual report on all our activities as a charity. We want to be open and transparent with our finances.

Copies of annual reports are available on request.

Now most people give by standing order directly into he church’s bank account but if this is not possible for you then there is a plate at the back of church during services for gifts.

If you are a UK tax payer you can help us by filling out a GiftAid form. It means we can claim the tax back on your gift at no additional cost to you.
