Post card with text and snowdrops

Signs of Hope

In the online prayer meeting in January we were sharing about things we were thankful for and someone mentioned snowdrops as a sign of hope, of Spring approaching. Someone else observed that although snowdrops were the only flowers visible under the ground “the roots are riotous”. This inspired the card pictured above which Lesley shared with the congregation with the following verses.

My beloved speaks and says to me:
‘Arise, my love, my fair one,
and come away;
for now the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtle-dove
is heard in our land.

Song of Solomon 2:10-12
